Our brother D Prosper visited us today at our New York office and we got to talk about music, political issues happening around the world, taxes and everyday life. He’s definitely one of the illest people we got to know in New York and he’s been working on some short films. In any business, partnerships can get tricky and complicated but in this case Blvck Ssur + New York started as friendship and became a strong collaborative partnership for brands to excel in the streetwear market and to having a successful store in New York City. 3 years ago the Black Scale team came to New York to look for retail spaces and while walking around Nolita/Soho area where we wanted to make that our home for the brand, we always made sure to visit Russ and Dave at the Ssur store. I (Mega) always had good talks with Dave smoking cigarettes in front of the store and spoke about if Russ would be down to have a co-op store?
