May Photo Recap: San Francisco

June 5th, 2012

It’s so great J Williams who works in our San Francisco store got off his ass and started to use his talents and snap pictures of what is going on in San Francisco. Lol. San Francisco is such a beautiful place from the landscape of the city to the different melting pot of cultures that settled there to the amazing food that you can get on every other corner possible. I love San Francisco and everything it has to offer but moving away and seeing how the city has changed it sucks to see the politics within our industry grow to a competitive battle and hate within certain circles. I am very happy to know I still have a very strong relationship with majority of the boutiques in the city but some of the new blood that rep certain brands have no clue why San Francisco is such a strong place for retail because it always had a strong community for growing together and doing things together for the city even if every brand represented something different. I guess growing up in the city when all the independent boutiques started popping up I was always that kid that loved the city for these new ideas and outlets for us Bay Area kids to have so we felt like we didn’t have to travel anymore to get the new hard to find items we fiend for. Moving forward to growing a business in the city it’s important to get along with all the elders in the game as well as the new guys opening in the city. It’s only 7 miles by 7 miles and that is a very small city and to see some bullshit politics to were someone shakes your hands and smiles in your face to walking away and hear them bad mouth you is pretty childish. Sometimes I don’t understand why these things happen but I do understand the people that do run the city will get fed up and no one will show you any love and from there I hope you can last as a business. It’s easy to get along with people and if you have so much bad energy that suffocates the city why are you even there?
