Alfred De Tagle, aka Dj Dé, is the other owner of Black Scale and has been a DJ for over 20 years in San Francisco and around the USA. From Reggae, Hip-Hop, Soul and R&B Dj Dé has pretty much done it all sharing his love for music with many of us growing up in San Francisco. I met Alfred about 10 years ago through mutual friends buying sneakers, clothes and being in the night life in San Francisco and me being younger than all my boys these are the guys that exposed me to partying and living the City Life. One of the first times I hung out with Alfred, we went to Berkeley to dig for records and pass out fliers for his weekly Tuesday night event at Soluna. That’s when he asked me to help him pass out fliers and our business relationship started and from that day forward we are still here building, him being the creative and I (Mega) being the business. Alfred has taken a break from the busy schedule of a DJ’s life to focus on Black Scale full time and once in a while when he feels the urge to DJ he spins at a few events in New York and when back home in San Francisco.
